This site was developed as a public service. Hampton residents know that it’s not easy to get background information helpful in understanding the Warrant Articles that we are asked to vote “up or down”. The ballot itself represents a very shortened version of the issues. The Hampton Union can only focus on a few key issues, surely not all. There are the special interest mailings around the time of the vote. But these focus only on the Articles of interest to the sponsoring group, and they present only one side of the story. What source is there for a person who can’t devote hours to the Deliberative Session to get a balanced view of what is being requested in the Warrant Articles? The answer to that has been “there is no such thing!” That’s the void this website seeks to fill.
I hope this is a help to you. Please like our Facebook page so that other Hampton residents may become aware of this resource.
